About Angelo

Angelo Jacinto is a freelance events photographer from Makati City, Philippines. He started photography as a hobby in 2002, using a camera to produce his own stock photographs for multimedia design projects early in his career. He then moved on to covering family events, from which he began shooting weddings and events part-time since 2004. His main goal on a photo shoot is to capture the details, emotions and special moments of an event to tell its story, all the while remaining unobtrusive and inconspicuous for everything to happen naturally. He loves pushing creativity to the limit, getting the best possible photo through perspective, lighting and composition while shooting - then running them through his own digital darkroom techniques as a final touch.

Angelo won 8th place for his entry, "Disabled by Disease, Enabled by Technology" in the 2005 WHO Photo Contest on Health and Disability. The same photo was also featured on the June 3, 2006 issue of the Philippine Star as part of Apple Computer's "Apple of my i" photo contest.
